Much loved local band The Strays recorded and mixed their 2018 EP here at Sound Shack. I’ve known the band since forming, and as always it was lots of fun. They are very driven and passionate about their music, and very happy to get right down in to the details.

Since leaving Wishbone Ash, Muddy has frequented the studio. He does a lot of recording at home, but comes to me for drums, some vocals, mixing and mastering.

A fantastic band from Bristol. After seeing them I made sure they got a card. Thoroughly enjoy working with them every time they come in. The band have recorded 2 EP’s and a single with me so far, and even got a couple of much deserved BBC Radio 2 plays.

Production
I invested in the Composer Cloud bundle from EastWest/Soundsonline. These are some of the best software sounds I have ever heard and can help increase the scope of anything produced at Sound Shack. Here is a small 30 second composition I made to show the power of these sounds.

Russ recorded the bulk of his album at home and did a fantastic job with it. He brought his rough mixes to me to add drums and finish off the mixing and mastering.
